MORE ABOUT HAYLEY

Animal lover. House renovator. Veg grower. Amateur gardener. Food lover. Prosecco drinker. And my party trick is that I can say the alphabet backwards in less than 3 seconds!

BLENDING NATURE AND THERAPY

I’ve always worked in charities and this inspires my research into compassionate leadership. With a background in the mental health sector and as a trainee psychologist I am passionate about how the outdoors can bring about connection and community. I set up Yorkshire’s first barefoot walking mindfulness club, won awards for mental health groups encouraging campfire conversations and have worked with over 1000 women in group coaching environments in woodlands. I train companies in mental health awareness globally.

VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE

Learning makes my world go round and I am proud to be a qualified beauty therapist, bushcraft teacher and business studies graduate! Amazingly I’ve been able to pull all these skills together into my work! Who else do you know who can teach business leaders to make homemade body scrubs round a campfire they made without matches?!

HOME OR AWAY?

Both.

Home is rural Worcestershire and I love nothing more than a squashed picnic during a hike, a trip to the foodie town of Ludlow or wrapping up warm and roasting potatoes by the campfire.

Away has always been a pull. I love the fresh alpine mountain air rushing through my lungs during downhill skiing. I love lazy beach afternoons and exploring old towns and cities.

FAVOURITE BOOKS

Anything by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi. I love anything set in a culture different to my own particularly African, Middle Eastern or Japanese. Although I do have to admit my love of Harry Potter here too!

FAVOURITE QUOTE

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style” – Maya Angelou
